GreenStage Open Mic Nights return to The Marketplace at Guilford Food Center this summer with three Friday nights of live music, poetry, storytelling, food, drink, all sorts of fun and who knows what else! We'll be holding open mics on June 28, July 26 and August 23, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Admission is by freewill donation at the door, with the proceeds supporting future GreenStage events. There's a full bar (21+ only, ID required), and the bartender will be whipping up signature GreenStage cocktails and mocktails. Small-plate meals available for purchase.
Performing is free. To guarantee a slot, use our online signup form. But you can take your chances and show up by 6:30 and see if there's space. All performers, including those who signed up, must check in by 6:30 to get assigned a slot. Due to space and time constraints, we're unable to accommodate full bands or acts that require extensive setup. Performers are responsible for bringing any instruments, props and music you need. We don't have a backline.
We will most likely be able to play backing music tracks if you bring them on a flash drive or cell phone, but please check with us in advance to make sure we can accommodate your device and file format. We cannot guarantee that our equipment will play your items. Acts are limited to 5 minutes so as many people as possible can perform.
