GFFE Supports Festival’s Educational Programming—Again

ree

The Guilford Fund for Education, a stalwart in supporting our educational and youth programming since 2019, is back as a GreenStage partner, providing a $6,550 grant to cover artist fees for six events at this summer’s festival.

GFFE’s support will enable us to present programs on the history, cultural context and technique in Capoeira movement from Brazil; Arabic music from Egypt; Tango dance from Argentina; a teen-written-and-performed play about cellphone/social media addiction, mental health and the challenges of social interaction among youth; a reading/workshop by a children's author encouraging kids to be creative, use their imaginations and explore the arts; and a sidewalk-poetry project for kids. All of these events will be offered for free on and around the Guilford Green.
