Jen Allen Sextet

One, 2025 GreenStage Artists’ Award recipient, Music. Jen Allen of Bloomfield brings her jazz sextet to Guilford to premiere “One,” a multi-movement composition that celebrates the unity that exists among us but is not always apparent as we move through fast-paced lives in divisive times. Created for piano, bass, drums/percussion, voice, guitar, cello and projected imagery, it features audience interaction. Allen is a pianist, composer, author and educator who performs throughout the world as the leader of her own bands and as a member of other creative music ensembles. A meditation facilitator, breathwork specialist and Reiki practitioner, she brings these disciplines into her music to help people connect with themselves, the spiritual realm and the world around them.
